Stamp pad appears to be the original. All correct characters.Original broach marks. There is a a gouge at the very top of the visible portion of the engine stamp pad. As well as numbers 4458 stamped. This is evidence of a previous engine rebuild. Dated block matches up perfectly with the original build date. All of the visible parts are correct and dates all line up with the original production of this car. Engine sounds good and seemed to run very well on the test day. All of the gauges show that motor is running well. The radiator looks new with correct part# . No signs of leaks or damage. The air cleaner is a nice looking original with just a hint of slight pitting in the chrome. The engine compartment shows very well. With a great combination of originality and excellent condition. NCRS judging from 2016 shows that this engine compartment is outstanding scoring 1237 points out of a total possible 1240. With zero deduction of the original stamp pad.

Exterior
Body appears to be really nice. All bonding strips in place. The gaps all line up very nicely. Doors and hood close easily. All chrome, door handles, vent window frames, tail lights and bumpers are in really nice shape. Stainless looks good. The paint is the original Nassau Blue color. The paint is a very nice quality job. The only imperfection in the paint is a brush touch up on the edge of the driver side door edge. Very hard to see. There also is a scratch on the underside of the very bottom portion of the grill surround. The headlights both rotate evenly and quickly. This is not very common with these headlight motors. Especially in cars that are not driven often. All four original style T3 headlights still in place. Excellent dated white convertible top looks very nice and fits very well. All glass is original and in very good condition. NCRS judging on exterior lost a total of 27 points from a possible 1020. Notations on the judging sheets showed a total of 13 of the lost points for the paint and chromed bumpers being to shiny and over restored. If you are going to lose points that may as well be the way to do it.

Frame
The frame/chassis is very clean. With very smooth frame rails. No signs of rust or previous repair. Easy to see that this was a car that lived most of it's life in dry climate and was well taken care of. The body was removed and frame and suspension was completely restored. So nice that it looks as it could have been restored this year. Very nice detail with original id marks replicated on suspension parts. Frame stencil is visible. Suspension shows no signs of irregular play or damage. The transmission is original and still maintains the vin# stamp. The rear end housing is stamped FB 2 18 66. Which is 4.11 ratio code dated 2/18/66. No noise from rear end, bearings or half shafts. Car sits like it should. The brakes look and feel very good. Steering has no play. Reproduction BF Goodrich Silvertown goldline radial tires. They look new. They are mounted on a newer set of reproduction kelsey-hayes knock off wheels. They give the car a classic look while providing a much better ride and better handling. There is a spare in the tub.

Interior
Interior is in excellent condition. The door panels, seat covers, and carpet are correct reproductions and show as new. Seat belts look to have been restored. The gauge cluster and dash pads are in excellent condition. The radio, gauges, lights, heater, speedometer, odometer and wipers work as expected. The trip odometer does work. Original teakwood steering wheel in excellent condition. Original day night mirror in good shape. Original jack and lug wrench are present the storage well.

Overall
Really nice example of a professionally restored car that appears to have always been well taken care of. The restoration was performed by Nabers Brothers of Houston. Widely regarded as the tops in their field. This car is a good example of their work. Body appears to be a no hit example with excellent fit and very nice paint. The Nassau Blue paint matches the original trim tag that is set off nicely with a white convertible top with a dated rear window. A beautiful newer set of reproduction Kelsey Hayes and gold line radial tires add to the classic look. Nicely restored rust free frame that looks like it may have been done this year shows nice detail. Very nice restored interior with an original rare teakwood steering wheel adding to the look. Matching number motor, transmission and rear end. You can see that this car has always been very well taken care of. Nice factory documentation with original protecto-plate showing that this car came from the factory with the very desirable 427ci 425hp engine. With luxury options power steering, power brakes and power windows adding even more to the car. There is a large collection of pictures and receipts dating back to the original owner. Great to have with the car and very hard to come by. The car has a NCRS Top Flight award from 2016. Judging sheets are included with the car. Most of the points lost were from much better than factory paint and chrome. Final score was an unheard of 99.2%. This makes this car one of very few to achieve it. This is a very nice example of a documented nicely optioned big block convertible. That still maintains the car's original drivetrain which makes this a very rare and desirable car. Current condition in regards to Hagerty Classic Car Insurance ratings is #1 Concours.
